We own a 2003 Freightliner
Classic, after researching several different APU’s on the market, we decided
upon the one made by Idle Solutions. The biggest factors in our decisions
were the following, the unit is completely separate from the truck (which allows
us to have a/c or heat even if the truck is broke down, it is gear driven (no
belts to worry about breaking; and it runs at a much lower rpm. This is
probably the quietist unit on the market and we have had many complements
from other drivers about the low noise factor. We have owned the
unit for a little over a year and have lowered our over idle from over 30+%
to less than 8.5 %. We would highly recommend this unit to anyone. |
